The KC Area Credit Union was formed in 1946 and now serves:

• Employees, current and retired, of the city, state, local and federal groups who work in offices in the following counties:

 
• Johnson County, Kansas
• Wyandotte County, Kansas
• Jackson County, Missouri
• Clay County, Missouri
   
• All other Credit Unions chartered in the State of Missouri
   
• Spouses, children, brothers, sisters, parents and grandchildren of such members, current or retired
   
• Any person who is employed in the following buildings is also eligible to join us:

 
• The Richard A. Bolling Federal Building located at 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, MO
• The DOT office building located at 901 Locust, Kansas City, MO
• The U.S. Federal Courthouse at 400 E. Ninth Street, Kansas
