We Take Debit Card Fraud Seriously

K C Area Credit Union takes account security and member privacy very seriously. In fact, it is our number one priority. We work with our vendors to insure that all aspects of the services we offer are the most secure available.

In the rare instance where fraud occurs, we will work with our member to identify the fraud, disable the card, get a new card ordered, and provide provisional credit. If it is truly a fraudulent transaction, members will not be out any money. The credit union takes the hit.

Provisional credit is available once a fraudulent transaction hits an account. If a fraudulent item appears as a pending transaction we can work with you to avoid the return of legitimate items.

Fraud can be very unnerving. It can be inconvenient to wait for replacement cards. But please be assured that the credit union will work with each individual case to rectify fraudulent transactions. K C Area Credit Union invites you to attend YOUR annual meeting on Tuesday, April 24 at 8:00am in the “Mural” conference room near the 12th St. guard station on the 1st floor of the Bolling Federal Building. Why? Because all members are equal owners of the credit union, whether their deposits amount to $50 or $100,000. K C Area Credit Union’s annual meeting is an occasion for management and elected officials to report to you, our owners. It’s an opportunity for you to ask questions, raise concerns, and meet the management team. You’ll learn more about the credit union’s financial position, new products and services, current business issues and future goals.

Without member input credit union leaders can only guess what owners like you want from their financial institution.

K C Area Credit Union is partnering with R-G Federal Credit Union allowing members to make basic transactions (withdrawals, deposits, loan payments) at each other’s credit unions at no cost. The benefit for members of K C Area is that RGFCU has offices open (lobby and drive thru) later on weekdays and Saturdays.
